Description

This course is designed for anyone who needs to deliver or manage projects as part of their wider responsibilities.

You will explore the range of project roles including the project client, project stakeholders, project sponsor, project manager, team members, project administrator and project steering committee. You will also explore the five stages of the project lifecycle including project initiation, project planning, project execution, monitoring and control and project closing.

You will also explore the range of project management tools, including online project management tools, process flow charts, Gannt charts, critical path analysis, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), PERT charts and how to manage resources.

You will finish the course by exploring how to manage risks, resolve issues, make changes, maintain and measure progress, manage budgets, manage people and completing the project.

Units covered -

  • Unit 1 – Introduction to Project Management – In the first unit of the project management training course you will explore a project, project management and the role of the project manager and the benefits of project management.
  • Unit 2 – The Project Lifecycle – In this unit you will examine in detail the project roles, including project client, project stakeholders, project manager and the five stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Unit 3 – Project Management Tools and Managing Resources – This unit will explore project management tool benefits, a range of online project management tools, process flow charts, PERT charts, etc.
  • Unit 4 – Managing Resources, Risks, Budgets and Progress – In the final unit of the project management training course, you will explore how you can manage risk, resolve issues, make changes, maintain and measure progress and completing the project.

Requirements

You are required to complete a 30 question multiple choice quiz at the end of the course. Where you need to achieve at least 80% or above to pass. You can complete the quiz as many times as you need to pass.
